Provided a Financial Crime SME / Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of three financial crime transformation workstreams for a major insurance group. The engagement delivered new governance and reporting frameworks into BAU aligned to a target operating model.
Background
The client was undertaking a Financial Crime Transformation Programme and required support across multiple financial crime change workstreams. The engagement formed part of a wider transformation team reporting into the Transformation Programme Director and BAU workstream owners. The programme included work on the Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment Framework, Controls QA & Testing Framework, and Financial Crime MI & Reporting Framework, with a requirement to design and deliver new frameworks into BAU aligned to a target operating model.
The Challenge
The client needed leadership and delivery support across three financial crime transformation workstreams. The engagement needed to define and document framework designs with support from existing financial crime SME teams and deliver those frameworks into BAU operations. The work required experience in establishing good practice financial crime frameworks across Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment, Controls QA & Testing, and Financial Crime MI & Reporting. The engagement also required coordination with transformation leadership and BAU workstream owners while aligning delivery to a new target operating model.
Our Approach
Provided a Financial Crime SME / Project Manager who acted as the workstream design and delivery lead across the Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment Framework, Controls QA & Testing Framework, and Financial Crime MI & Reporting Framework workstreams. The consultant defined and documented framework designs with support from existing financial crime SME teams. The engagement included planning and delivering the new frameworks into BAU operations in line with a new target operating model while working as part of the wider transformation team and reporting into the Transformation Programme Director and BAU workstream owners.
Results
The engagement delivered design and delivery leadership across three financial crime transformation workstreams. New frameworks for Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment, Controls QA & Testing, and Financial Crime MI & Reporting were designed, documented, and delivered into BAU operations aligned to a target operating model. The work also supported the establishment of financial crime governance, controls assurance, management information, and reporting frameworks within the wider Financial Crime Transformation Programme.
