B2E supported a UK financial services regulator in enhancing its supplier management practices for a Digital Services Procurement Programme, delivering improved compliance and strategic supplier engagement.
Background
The client faced challenges in managing its technology suppliers effectively, necessitating standardization of processes in line with regulatory requirements and strategic objectives. This need for a structured approach arose from the increasing complexity of supplier relationships and the importance of compliance in the procurement of digital services.
The Challenge
The organization lacked a cohesive framework for managing supplier relationships, including processes for compliance, quality management, and risk mitigation. Complex supplier agreements and varied service expectations created difficulties in performance management and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
Our Approach
B2E represented the Technology Supplier Management team, supporting the Digital Services Procurement Programme to establish standard working methods aligned with the Supplier Management Framework. The team created and implemented processes and templates meeting regulatory requirements and the client's strategic goals. B2E provided a strategic supplier management service, which included Service Level reporting, operational risk management, quality management, and facilitating the completion and maintenance of Obligation Assurance workbooks. Additionally, the team managed RfPs, led strategic supplier engagements, assessed risks, and supported Procurement with supplier onboarding processes.
Results
The implementation of systematic supplier management processes led to improved efficiency and reduced supplier risks. Enhanced supplier engagement and strategic oversight resulted in better compliance with regulatory standards and optimized performance monitoring through established key performance indicators.
